We’ll have a Kennett appreciation week and a week devoted to fanworks.

The poll to vote for a week (HERE) will still count. I’ll just pick the top two weeks voted.

I’ll do my best to announce the prompts for both weeks within the next week or two (I am accepting suggestions).

Thanks for everyone’s input (I was actually pleasantly surprised at how receptive people were to actually having two weeks because I was worried that that might be a bit much, but yay! I think it’ll be a lot of fun and I hope everyone participates in some way)!

So far, that looks like what’ll be happening, which I’m more than okay with because double the Kennett! I’m more than happy to arrange this because I know so many of us have been down about the finale (and rightfully so) that I think we can all use more pretty things in the tags.

i'm all for having a separate kennett appreciation week and a fanworks week. it'd be double the kennett and double the fun! plus, i think it'd be a bit more inclusive because not everyone is into making fanworks.

Okay, since I wasn’t really clear on what exactly Kennett week would entail, it appears that half of you are expecting something like an appreciation week and the other half of you are expecting a week centered around fanworks.

For those of you who are unclear about the difference between an appreciation week an a fanwork week:

An appreciation week is a week where each theme involves showing appreciation about some aspect of whatever the week is about. So, a Kennett appreciation week would have themes like “Favorite Kennett moment” “Favorite Naterina moment”, etc. (You may be familiar with this from things such as Bonnie Bennett appreciation week, Stelena appreciation week, etc.)

A fanwork week is a week where for each theme you would make a fanfic, fanvid, etc. So for instance, let’s say one of the themes was “Secret Affair”, you could write a fanfic, make a fanvid, a gifset, etc., anything involving Kennett having a secret affair. (If any of you are familiar with things such as Zutara week or Sasusaku month or there’s even a Bamon week coming up, it’d be something like that).

So here’s what we can do:

I can either extend the week to two weeks and have one week centered around Kennett appreciation and the other week centered around fanworks.

Or I can have two themes each day; one for fanworks and one for appreciation.

I’m leaning more towards the first option because that would probably make things less crazy and cluttered.

I really don’t mind organizing both an appreciation week and a fanworks week because I want everyone to participate and enjoy it in whatever way they’d prefer and double the Kennett is great. However, I am sorry for any mass confusion I’ve just caused.

Thoughts on this?

You can vote for multiple weeks if you’d like and there is an option to add your own dates. However, you while you can pick multiple answers, I made it so you can only vote once.

The dates I’ve picked span from the last week of June to the last week of July. This way, it’ll be far enough away from Bamon week and it gives me plenty of time to have things organized and give you guys enough time to work on contributions.

Thanks! I would want to have it probably mid-late June or maybe early July. I’d definitely would have a poll for people to vote on which dates would work best, though, and I’d want it planned out at least 2-3 weeks in advance so that people would have enough time to contribute stuff.

I don't mean to steal, Bamon week's thunder, but if I planned a Kennett week, would anyone be interested?

It would take place quite a bit later (I’m thinking some time in July), but I would wanna get started on organizing it ASAP so that it could run as smoothly as possible.

Despite everything that happened in TVD, I’m just really wanna try to keep the Bonnie fandom alive in any way I can and I think doing things like Bamon week or having other Bonnie pairing weeks would be a great way to do this.

~~I actually kinda wanna have a week for every Bonnie pairing tbqh, but that would probably be insanity~~

Alright! Bamon Week is almost here, and I think that I have received all the requests that I am going to! So, I decided to post a schedule of the week so that people can start preparing. This should give people who want to write multi-chapter fics, or make art work/vids time to get them all ready before the days. :)

I encourage you all to post for as many days as you can! You can post whatever your heart desires, be creative! Gif-sets, manips, art work, one shots, fics, videos, audio clips, songs that remind you of them, or anything else you can think of! None of these are limited to the canon story-line!

I can only speak for myself, but I ship them because I feel that there’s a lot of potential.

Kol seems to understand witches better than most characters in the show and I think that Bonnie and him could have an interesting push and pull dynamic if they were ever given more scenes together.

Also, I think that the scenes that they did have in the show together were magnificent and showed that it is possible for them to work (no, it wouldn’t be a lovey-dovey romantic relationship, but it definitely could be firey and passionate).

Above all, this pairing seems to give me more inspiration than anything else. While Bamon is and always will be my ultimate OTP for this show, when it comes to Kennett, I write more fanfic about them than anything else because I see that there’s a lot of potential and it gives me a lot of inspiration.

what's your opinion on Kat's music? I feel like I'm 50/50, I really really like some of her songs but don't like others

For the most part, I like it a lot. Just like any artist, there’s a song here and there that I dislike, but overall I enjoy her music. My favorite song of hers is “Wanna Say.”
